Introducing the 2013 Niswonger Volunteer Team
The Niswonger Performing Arts Center of Northwest Ohio has many opportunities for volunteering from back stage and tech volunteers to ticket takers and ushers. We are always looking for fresh new faces that enjoy helping and have a passion for the arts.Volunteers are the backbone of every experience here at the NPAC. Our volunteers are dedicated and committed individuals who enrich the lives of others in the community. Serving as ambassadors to the public, NPAC volunteers are vital to the success of Niswonger Performing Arts.
Why should I volunteer?Volunteering is a great way to contribute to your community while also meeting new people. Active volunteers will enjoy numerous benefits such as service recognition awards, parties, enrichment activities, and some discounts.What constitutes an ACTIVE volunteer?To be considered an active volunteer, one must attend one orientation session, held at the beginning of each season, yearly training, and actively volunteers throughout the season.What types of volunteer opportunities are available?We offer many different positions for volunteering from front of house to technical volunteers. VOLUNTEER TRAINING SESSION
The Volunteer Training for our 2013-2014 season is set for Tuesday, September 24 at 7:00 p.m. in the Lecture Hall at the PAC. This session is to acquaint new volunteers with information they will need to begin the new season and to become part of the team which makes a visit to the Niswonger Performing Arts Center for an event very special for our guests. This session is also available to our veteran volunteers who would like to brush up on their skills. If you are unable to attend this session, please let Facility Coordinator Mark Hartman know by calling or e-mail.
New volunteers, as well as veteran volunteers who would like to update from the original burgundy sweaters, may visit Deb at Stitches Are Us, 10248 State Route 118 (across from Laudick's Jewelry). Prices are the same as last season, $32.50 for men's vest sweater and $35.00 for lady's cardigan. The phone number is (419) 232-2980.
VOLUNTEER ID BADGES
Volunteers who need new picture ID badges may make arrangements by contacting our security chief Rick McCoy at the Van Wert County Emergency Management Agency office by calling (419) 238-1300 between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
To provide a premier venue for a wide variety of performing arts, concerts, lectures, meetings, and special events which will inspire, educate, and entertain residents of and visitors to Van Wert County, and to provide an economic catalyst by increasing cultural tourism, creating new jobs, and generating business for the region.
