Shanes Crossing Supports NPAC Educational Mission

The Shanes Crossing Historical Society of Rockford is a contributing underwriter to the Niswonger Speaker-Lecture Series. On September 27, 2013, Ceci Wiselogel presented LET FREEDOM RING, an engaging and educational forum on our Nations patriotic symbols. The Parkway Middle School students and staff attended the event thanks in part to the generous $500 contribution from The Shanes Crossing Historical Society. It is the mission of the Niswonger Performing Arts Center to inspire, educate and entertain. Contributions to the Lecture-Speaker Series support that mission and enable future opportunities to reach out to school districts though out the region with topics that will inspire, educate and entertain from the Niswonger stage.

The Shane's Crossing Historical Society, in coordination with the Village of Rockford, takes pride in preserving artifacts and memorabilia that showcase the Rockford areas origins and history. The Oldest Town In Ohio, Rockford shares the display in the Shanes Crossing Historical Museum located at 151 East Columbia Street in Rockford. The museum is open from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm or by appointment, 419-363-3032.

The Niswonger Performing Arts Center is grateful for the contributions of the Shane's Crossing Historical Society to preserve and further the culture of our region.
